The release includes integration with Emergency Reporting NFIRS reporting services. By connecting your StationCAD account with your Emergency Reporting account, you can send the incident information that you have received from your communication center. Incident records can be created within Emergency Reporting either on-demand by an administrator or automatically when a close/clear report is received. Incidents are created with the following information (when available):
The Chester County (PA) Department of Emergency Services has switched over to the new html format for station dispatch/clear prints. Besides the switch to the new format, the following new functionality has been added:
The Chester County (PA) Department of Emergency Services is set to begin sending the new HTML formatted station prints on February 27, 2018. This change will be transparent to StationCAD Users the are currently configured with the StationCAD Print Target Service as their primary means of receiving station print outs. StationCAD users with any questions or concerns can contact customer support by submitting a support request through the Watchdesk portal or through email at stationcad@graphitegear.com.
The Chester County (PA) Deptartment of Emergency Services is currently in the process of updating the station print outs to an html format. Working with the staff at DES, StationCAD is currently completing testing of these changes to ensure that the changeover will be transparent to the users currently using the StationCAD Data Collection Services as their primary means of receiving station print outs. At this time, a cut-over date has not been provided by DES.
The new station print outs will contain the same pertinent information as the current version with the exception of the 'Clear' report. The new 'Clear' report will now include a "Unit Comments" section. These entries will be included in the 'Notes' section of the Incident Details view.
Just received word from the Chester County DES GIS administrator that we will be able to offer hydrant information county-wide regardless of whether the station is signed up for the StationCAD platform! No need to request hydrant information from the county to provide to us for upload. The GIS office has also made Fire Response Box areas available to us which we will also be incorporating into the platform after the full hydrant marker release goes live.
One of our highest priorities is to release a mobile app to ensure that you receive notifications while on the go.
To be used in conjunction with the mobile app, Responder Tracking will allow users to indicate if they are available and responding to an incident. User can select to provide ETAs of their arrival based on current location and traffic conditions. All this data can then be used for reporting purposes.
Display administrative messages around your station on a standard TV display. When an incident is received the screen will automatically switch to display all pertinent incident data along with Responder Tracking.
We are currently working with NFIRS vendors to automatically send incident information to their systems. This will automatically prepopulate NFIRS incident reports with data directly from your communications center, reducing data errors and increasing your productivity.
We are always looking for suggestions from our users! If you have something you would like to see or that would help make StationCAD more useful stop by our service portal and let us know.
