Dispatch Data Processing

Dispatch Data Processing

How the process works...

The second step in the process.  Parsing the dispatch data at the most granular level.

We leverage the details to provide you the functionality you deserve...

Once StationCAD has the Dispatch Data it parses the data at a granular level. This process gives us the ability to allow users to tailor notifications and reporting to specific needs. StationCAD parses your Dispatch Data to the following attributes:
  • Report Type.
This allows the user to create Notification Rules specific to the services they provide. Administrators can choose what types of station print reports they want to make available for notifications.
  • Event Type and Sub-type Codes.
These, in conjunction with the Report Types, allow the user to create Notification Rules specific to the services they provide. Administrators can assign Event Types/Sub-types to Notification Groups. Individual users can then choose to subscribe to Notification Groups. Not an EMS provider but your station provides EMS services?  Disable notifications from the EMS Notification Group. Don't want to bother your users with Line Officer Event Type/Sub-Types?  Assign the codes to the Line Officers Notification Group and individual users can opt-out of those notifications.  Subscribe to our Phaser Station Alerting Service?  This level of granularity allows you to choose how you want your station alerting to be configured.  Medical calls get their own LED color and tone; Single company responses as well; Box Alarms... its only limited by your imagination.
  • Units Assigned.
This allows administrators to create exceptions where notifications should not be sent.  Incident Clear reports that include unit disposition times allow us to provide even more data to report on.
  • Incident Location Geo-coding
StationCAD utilizes Google Geo-coding and Mapping services to provide per incident mapping and Street View functionality.  Future releases will support the ability to add Map Markers (such as hazardous areas, landing zones, etc) that will be shown on your incident maps within a predefined radius of the location.

Now that the dispatch data has been received and parsed, we can handle Alerting and Notifications...
