Keeping your data secure is a huge concern and also one of our highest priorities.
As part of fulfilling our obligations to secure protected health information (PHI), we host our cloud services through the Microsoft Azure platform. Doing so allows us to incorporate Microsoft's Business Associate Agreement (BAA) to comply with HIPAA and the HITECH Act. In order to ensure HIPAA compliance we perform the following outside of the features offered through the BAA:
- Encryption-at-rest: All data that is received from our customers is secured through Transparent Data Encryption of the databases, backups and logs.
- Encryption-in-transit: Regardless of how the data is received by our systems it is encrypted using https and SSL/TLS 1.2 while being moved from client to server or server to server.
